A new futuristic Electric Forecourt is due to be built at Broadland Gate next year, following the completion of contracts with GRIDSERVE. The planning application for the development was heard at Planning Committee in September. The Broadland District Councillors praised the development, and the plans were granted unanimous approval.

The sale of 5.3 acres at Plot 10 on the west of Broadland Gate has completed with Norfolk Constabulary. The planning application for the new Police Investigation Centre was heard at Planning Committee in September and was granted unanimous approval. The Broadland District Councillors were complimentary of the development and design.

More exciting news for Broadland Gate as contracts exchanged with Lidl for a new food store on Plot 2a at the north of the site, adjacent to the Poppy Way Roundabout. The plot will provide Lidl with high prominence and an easily accessible location for customers. They will be a key anchor occupier for the northern area of the site. Lidl have submitted a planning application to Broadland Council for the development.

The planned store will add to Lidl’s existing store portfolio of over 800 and will form part of the company’s expansion project across Great Britain.
