The COVID-19 pandemic has bought unprecedented challenges. However, the team at Broadland Gate have quickly adapted to new ways of working to continue driving the development forward. Over 54% of the plots at Broadland Gate have now been exchanged or sold, with other plots under offer and negotiation.
Local contractors, Ovamill have commenced works on site to deliver the next stage of infrastructure. The work is expected to be completed later in the year and will include the construction of two roundabouts, together with footpaths and cycleways through the estate, providing connectivity to the wider network.
Contracts have exchanged with GRIDSERVE for a new state of the art Electric Forecourt ® on Plot 7. A planning application has been submitted for the development, which will be one of the first in a nationwide network of more than 100 Electric Forecourts ®. The plot will provide 24 high-speed charging bays, a coffee shop, convenience store and an airport-style lounge area.
The sale of Plot 8 to Pinnacle Engineers has completed, following the grant of planning approval for the development of a new office building. Construction work on the plot is expected to commence later in the year.
Plot 5b has been sold to Norfolk Land Developments for a trade counter scheme, with pre-lets agreed with national occupiers. An application for planning permission has been submitted to Broadland Council and awaiting determination. The planning application for Norfolk Constabulary’s new Police Investigation Centre on Plot 10 is also pending.
