The Broadland Gate team are pleased to see the estate advancing, with drone imagery captured over the summer months showing more construction works commencing. There are now only 4 plots remaining with over 80% of the estate now sold or under offer.
Norfolk Constabulary break ground
Norfolk Constabulary have commenced the build of their new specialist Police Investigation Centre on Plot 10, a 4 acre parcel at the south west of Broadland Gate. R G Carter have been appointed as the main contractor to deliver the facility, which is due to open in Autumn 2022.
NOW OPEN! Lidl Food Store & Broadland Trade Park
Lidl have opened the doors of their new food store at Broadland Gate, which marks the retail giant’s fourth supermarket across Norwich. Located at the Poppy Way entrance, the store is easily accessible from the A47 and Northern Distributor Road. The store has created 40 new jobs for the local area and provides the surrounding community with access to great quality and affordable produce.

Land sold to LNT Care Developments
The sale of 2 acres at Plot 1b on the north of Broadland Gate has completed with LNT Care Developments, following the grant of planning consent in May. Located adjacent to the Poppy Way entrance of the estate, the plot boasts prominent roadside frontage and will provide LNT with an easily accessible location for the community.
LNT submit planning application for 66-Bed Care Home
LNT Care Developments have submitted a planning application to Broadland Council for the development of a 66-bed care home on Plot 1b at Broadland Gate. Located at the north of the site adjacent to the Poppy Way entrance, the plot will provide LNT with an easily accessible location for the community.
McDonald’s Restaurant to open at Broadland Gate
The development of a new McDonald’s restaurant with drive-thru facility on Plot 2b at Broadland Gate has gained planning consent. The application for the restaurant was heard at Planning Committee with officer recommendation and was granted unanimous approval. The Broadland District Councillors highlighted the need for the food outlet to support and provide for other occupiers on site.
Lidl Food Store to open at Broadland Gate
Contracts have completed with Lidl for the development of a new food store at the Poppy Way entrance to Broadland Gate. The outline planning application for the store was approved at Planning Committee alongside Norfolk Constabulary in September and approval has since been granted for the reserved matters application.
GRIDSERVE Electric Forecourt coming to Broadland Gate
A new futuristic Electric Forecourt is due to be built at Broadland Gate next year, following the completion of contracts with GRIDSERVE. The planning application for the development was heard at Planning Committee in September. The Broadland District Councillors praised the development, and the plans were granted unanimous approval.

The sale of 5.3 acres at Plot 10 on the west of Broadland Gate has completed with Norfolk Constabulary. The planning application for the new Police Investigation Centre was heard at Planning Committee in September and was granted unanimous approval. The Broadland District Councillors were complimentary of the development and design.
